Donate to Help Fight Anxiety/Depression
As I told my family and others, I will empty my bank account to carry out the run if I have to because this journey to raise awareness for anxiety and depression is so important and it has to happen. I am starting the run with some personal savings and financial support from my family. My friends and co-workers are also helping me raise funds for the run but these funds will not be enough to complete the run across the country.
I have been planning this run for over two years but I have not been able to secure any significant corporate sponsorship to-date. This is fine with me because I believe the true support will come from the people, especially those whose lives are impacted by these illnesses. The fact is that I have enjoyed wonderful support from the public during my run from Toronto to Ottawa and I have no doubt that many will support this run as well. I also believe that corporations will likely join in once they realize the support from the people. The bottom line is that this cross Canada run to raise awareness will happen one way or another!
I greatly appreciate the strong support, financially and emotionally, from family, friends, colleagues and people whom I have never met before. This is not a journey of one man, but a journey of all those who support this cause. Your support warms my heart and keeps me going.
